The AION Perspective
The Perspective is a long-form monthly investment letter that monitors and dissects the evolution of events in financial markets, geopolitics, and the global macroeconomic system. Against a background of financial, economic, and social history, The Perspective presents a combination of analyses: macroeconomic, fundamental, technical, and market psychology. It also features regular guest essays from individuals with contrasting or contrarian points of view, as well as providing a platform for voices from outside the financial industry who have vital and novel perspectives to share.
AION: Observations on the Age
Observations on the Age is an occasional publication that examines the long-term structural and secular forces shaping global financial markets, and political and monetary systems. The emphasis is on long-term cycles, where events may unfold over decades and generations, and the lessons that long-range political and social histories have for our present and future.
Thematic Papers
AION periodically produces narrowly-focused thematic thought pieces that take a deep analytical dive into specific financial assets, sectors, or commodity markets.
Consultancy
Aside from the publications listed above AION also works with a limited number of institutional clients.
Its work is focused on identifying and interpreting structural developments across the global macroeconomic, monetary, and geopolitical landscape, particularly where prevailing narratives appear incomplete or misleading.
AION’s research is grounded in the study of structural imbalances, regime change, second-order effects, and path dependency, rather than short-term forecasting. Particular attention is given to the interaction between monetary policy, fiscal dynamics, geopolitical incentives, and the role of commodities and precious metals within that broader context.
Client engagements typically include written analysis, periodic briefings, and thematic research on macroeconomic, monetary, geopolitical, and market developments.
Engagements may be structured on a retainer or project basis, with flexibility as to scope and cadence. The number of client relationships is intentionally limited to ensure that each engagement remains substantive and anchored in original research.
AION does not provide investment advice or make recommendations regarding the purchase or sale of specific securities or financial instruments.
